Introduction
The “Book of the Month” for May will be The Church: The Gospel Made Visible by Mark Dever. While a book of theology, even a brief one like this, may seem challenging, it is a challenge worth taking. What you believe about the church makes a very real and practical difference in the way you live the Christian life. Whether this is your first “theological” book or your hundred and first, I am confident that reading it will add both strength and clarity to your understanding of the nature and purpose of the church of Jesus Christ.
Starting Saturday, May 7 and continuing through Saturday, May 28, we will be posting quotes and comments on each week’s reading. On Sunday, May 29, we will have a coffee and cookies book discussion in the equipping center after the evening service—but only for those who have read the book!

May 1–7 | Preface—Chapter Two
May 8–14 | Chapters Three—Six
May 15–21 | Chapters Seven—Ten
May 22–28 | Chapters Eleven—Conclusion
Following this reading schedule requires an average of less than 7 pages of text a day!
