School of Ministry

The vision of Westside School of Ministry is to equip faithful men for ministry in the local church, as evangelist, pastors, teachers, deacons and leaders.
“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:” Ephesians 4:11-12
Duration
The school of ministry is a three-year course of study with a 10-month academic year from September to June in four quarters.
Class Schedule
Thursday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. with periodic Saturday intensives
Core Curriculum
Bible Exposition – BI
The core of our Bible classes will be a survey of the entire Old and New Testament. Other Bible courses will be taught in areas such as hermeneutics and church history.
Christian Theology – TH
Our theology courses will focus on grounding men in systematic theology. We will also overview the fields of Biblical, historic, dogmatic, and contemporary theology.
Pastoral Ministry – PM
Our pastoral ministries courses will cover a wide variety of subjects including, expository preaching, teaching methods, church polity, leadership, administration, Biblical counseling, and the pastor’s family.
Mission/Evangelism – MI
Our mission and evangelism courses will cover church planting, personal evangelism, foreign missions, world religions and apologetics.
